Flashback Friday & Re-Release: With Good Behavior (Conduct #1) by Jennifer Lane

Flashback Friday & Re-Release: With Good Behavior (Conduct #1) by Jennifer Lane

Re-Release reviews of a favorite book with one of my most adored heroes. Get lost in this sweet romance, a great beach read, pool read, couch read…wherever, and for only $0.99, worth every penny!! Karla’s Review -2011 4.5 Stars! With Good Behavior is an extremely well-written engaging book. It has one of the sweetest heroes I’ve ever encountered, Grant Madsen. He’s honorable, charming, emotional, and so sexy. He meets the delightful Sophie while visiting his parole officer. She’s a complete stranger to him and yet he offers her comfort in his arms. He had me at that first hug. As the two of them get to know one another, they tell […]

Review: Madly (New York #2) by Ruthie Knox

Review: Madly (New York #2) by Ruthie Knox

Crista’s Review 3 Stars! Madly by Ruthie Knox is the second book in her New York Trilogy.  Truly was released August 2014 and it was a long time waiting for this installment.  Completely is the third and final book of the series and its release date has been pushed back a few times.  It is scheduled to release in late September 2017.  Ruthie Knox is one of my favorite romance authors and she’s also a very nice person.  After an absence from publishing, she is back, and that is a blessing! Unfortunately, I am sad to say that Madly left something to be desired.  This is the story of Allie Fredericks […]

Review: The Coppersmith Farmhouse (Jamison Valley #1) by Devney Perry

Review: The Coppersmith Farmhouse (Jamison Valley #1) by Devney Perry

Dorsey’s Review 4.5 Alpha Loving Stars!! I was blown away by this new authors debut book!! It had everything I love to read about, it’s reminiscent of a Kristen Ashley or a C.P. Smith book, but, Devney Perry definitely has her own style and voice which was fabulous. I’m so excited to have another author to follow and look forward to!! Georgia “Gigi” is a nurse and single mother to adorable four year Rowen “Roe”, who inherits a farmhouse in Montana from Ben, a former patient and pseudo grandparent to Roe. After losing her mother and then Ben, she decides to start over and moves from Seattle to the farmhouse for a […]

REVIEW: Spellbinder (Moonshadow #2) by Thea Harrison

REVIEW: Spellbinder (Moonshadow #2) by Thea Harrison

Dorsey’s Review   4.5 Spellbinding Stars!!! I was completely spellbound by Morgan’s story! Although Morgan was a villain in previous books we soon learn appearances can be deceiving and all is not as it seems. Morgan is bound by a spell linking him to the evil Light Fae Queen Isabeau, so that he must obey any and all direct orders she gives him. For hundreds of years he has lived without freedom. With only his hate and desire for revenge keeping him strong and sane. When we first see Morgan in this book he is a very stoic and no longer holds much hope and certainly no happiness, but when an […]

Review: Twist (Dive Bar #2) by Kylie Scott

Review: Twist (Dive Bar #2) by Kylie Scott

Crista’s Review 4 Stars!  It is no secret that I have mad love for this author.  Kylie Scott wrote the Stage Dive series that still remains my favorite rock band series.  When I heard that Kylie Scott was writing a spin-off series to the Stage Dive series, I was quick to read Dirty, which I loved.  Twist is another great read that had me flipping pages as quickly as I could as I binged on this second installment of the Dive Bar Series. Alex Parks has traveled from Seattle to meet her online love interest, a man named Eric.  When she learns that it’s not actually Eric that she’s been developing […]

REVIEW: Midnight Unbound (Midnight Breed #14.6) by Lara Adrian

REVIEW: Midnight Unbound (Midnight Breed #14.6) by Lara Adrian

Dorsey’s Review   5 Deadly Gen One Stars!! I was so excited to read that we were getting Scythe’s story! He totally and thoroughly captivated me when we were introduced to him in Midnight Untamed!! Everyone who read that book must have felt the connection between him and the young widow Breedmate Chiara, and her young son Pietro. Scythe is a Gen One Hunter created by Dregos who has a heartbreaking backstory (as all of Dregos Hunters do) and Chiara is a widow in danger because of her deceased mates lies and deceit. When someone out for revenge attacks Chiara in her home, The Order enlists Scythe to keep her safe and find […]

Review Rewind: Chase in Shadow (Johnnies #1) by Amy Lane

Review Rewind: Chase in Shadow (Johnnies #1) by Amy Lane

Karla’s Review 5 Stars! A very powerful and emotional read! I had no idea the journey I was going on when I started this book, but it was one filled with unbelievable highs and lows, amazing characters, and a story that damn near ripped my heart out of my chest. Slowly the layers are peeled back on Chase’s past as his story progresses in the present, and you understand why he has chosen to hide behind the image of being straight. The guilt that this boy carried around for most of his life was unimaginable, and the façade he hid behind because of a tragic childhood, never allowed him to be […]

REVIEW: Identity Crisis by Rochelle Paige

Dorsey’s Review   4 Sexy Alpha Seal Stars!! Blaine West is an ex-Navy SEAL working as a head of security for a wealthy Las Vegas Casino owner when he receives an urgent message from his childhood friend and first love who’s obviously terrified and asking for help to hide. Blaine arranges for her to find safe shelter until he can arrive. Once he arrives at the agreed meeting place, a local hotel, she doesn’t show but he soon learns a local author was murdered that morning at the same hotel. An author who bears an uncanny resemblance to his friend. Delia Sinclair is a reclusive romance novelist who’s on a deadline […]

Flashback Friday: Beg for Mercy (Dead Wrong #1) by Jami Alden

Flashback Friday: Beg for Mercy (Dead Wrong #1) by Jami Alden

Karla’s Review 5 Stars! Excellent romantic suspense/thriller! This had everything I love in this genre of book. A twisted villain committing gruesome murders, nail-biting suspense, an intense romance, and great secondary characters. Nothing sugar-coated here, pretty graphic descriptions of the deeds and the aftermath of the crime. Although the killer was easy to spot, it did not take away from the story. There was still that desperation to solve the murders, and the hopelessness of the situation if it was left unresolved. What I really loved about this book is that although it wrapped up nicely, the circumstances of the crimes had far reaching effects on other characters and some issues […]

REVIEW: Xavier Cold (Hard Knocks #2) by Michelle A. Valentine

REVIEW: Xavier Cold (Hard Knocks #2) by Michelle A. Valentine

Dorsey’s  Review 3 Stars!! I must admit I was a bit disappointed with the continuation of Xavier and Anna’s love story. The overall story was good, just not as great as I was hoping for. This picks up right where Phenomenal X left off, I found the multiple storylines a bit dramatic at times and there were just too many obstacles thrown in X and Anna’s way, along with too much self-doubt for both of them. X’s self-loathing was just plain sad and I missed the over confidentA cocky alpha he was in Phenomenal X! “You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me—my angel—my everything, and I’ll never let you go […]
