Here it is! Our favorite reads in 2015. Not all the books were released in 2015, but that’s not what this list is about, it’s what we enjoyed reading throughout the year. Yes, there are quite a few books that were new releases last year, but you might also recognize some reads that have been around for a while and our reviewers just got a chance to give them a go. You’ll see our faves from an assortment of different genres including Contemporary, Suspense, Paranormal, Historical and the very popular New Adult…some of us couldn’t resist and added an entire series. We’ve also included a few of our own categories such as: Most Emotional, Off the Beaten Path and Funniest Book and tell you about our #1 read and favorite author of 2015. It’s a great collection and you might find something to add to your reading shelf for 2016.
And to help you buy those books, we are giving away $25 gift cards to 2 lucky winners. They can choose from the online bookstore of their choice, like Amazon, B & N or ARe. So fill out the Rafflecopter and be sure to leave a comment (it’s mandatory) for your chance to win. Tell us about some of the books you enjoyed in 2015 and Good Luck!

Best Read of the Year
The Deal by Elle Kennedy
Although I read many excellent
reads this year, The
Deal
by Elle Kennedy just simply rose to the top.  It is an excellent
“enemies to friends to lovers” book.  It is the only book this year that I
re-read, (and I re-read it three times).  I loved the characters and the
relationship between Garrett and Hannah.  It really is the best New Adult
book that I have ever read. – Crista

Hopeless by Colleen Hoover
It’s been a long
time since I’ve fallen wholeheartedly in love with a book, its characters, and
its love story. I adored this heartbreakingly emotional story. It made me
laugh, it made cry, and it made me believe in young love. The way it made
me feel, from the first page to the last, is why I read romance. Hopeless is by
far my favorite read this year. I can’t praise it enough. – Kristen
Ride Steady by Kristen Ashley
KA continues to
keep me enthralled with her books and fabulous characters. Ride Steady
definitely played on all my emotions. Joker’s backstory broke my heart and then
he, Clarissa, and baby Travis managed to wholeheartedly capture my heart. I
loved them, their story, and their HEA. I have MANY favorite KA books and this
one will definitely be added to my Kristen Ashley Favorites Shelf!! – Dorsey
One Plus One by Jojo Moyes
A beautifully
written uplifting story that will bring you to the depths of despair and then
lift you to the clouds! Filled with meaning, hope, unconditional love, and a
little romance, this book was a rollercoaster of emotions. It had me feeling
the character’s hopelessness
and then I was cheering them on to a happy ending! I can’t help but smile when I
think about this amazing book! – Karla
Friction by Sawyer Bennett

Friction embodies everything I love about the romance genre. It’s hot, sexy, heart-warming, funny and features an extraordinary couple that I fell in love with very quickly. Withthe heroine, Leary, Sawyer Bennett created a character that is everything I admire in a heroine and in a woman. She embraces her sexuality, is feminine, strong, witty, smart and a lot of fun. Friction will always have a special place in my heart because it introduced me to an author I have become a huge fan of. – Steffi

Axel’s Pup by Kim Dare
Perfect from beginning to end, this was an extremely engaging and
beautiful love story that I found impossible to put down. I highly
recommend this Dom/sub love story with its richly developed characters and
interesting shifter world. – KindleRomance

Favorite Author of the Year
This author is
absolutely phenomenal and is so CONSISTENT.  I know when I read a book by
this author, it will be captivating and emotional.  Her books never fail
to end up on my favorites list and this year alone, she wrote two of my
favorite books: Kyland
and Grayson’s
Vow.
– Crista

Nalini Singh

As always, it’s
Nalini Singh for me. I find myself rereading or re-listening to her
books/series throughout the year. She’s an incredibly talented storyteller who
has brought me tremendous enjoyment with her unforgettable characters and
stories through the years. She’s my favorite author! – Kristen
D.B. Reynolds
released two great additions to her “Vampires in America” series in
2015, Deception and Christian. D.B. Reynolds manages to
keep the series fresh by introducing fantastic new characters with engrossing,
fast paced, sexy, action filled storylines all the while giving us plenty of
updates on our favorite Vampire Lord Raphael & his “Lubimaya” Cyn (along with all the rest of our favorite Vampire
Lords and their mates). – Dorsey

Jojo Moyes
I  read two books by this author this year, One
Plus One
and After You, the follow up to my favorite read from last year, Me
Before You
, and enjoyed them both immensely.  Jojo Moyes writes stories  that get inside a reader’s soul and make them FEEL
every obstacle the characters encounter and celebrate in their successes! Her
stories are engaging, layered, touching and stay with you forever, as will
every character you meet along the way…100 % quality reading! She has
indescribable talent and I’m never prepared for the emotional journey this
author takes me on, but always glad I went along for the ride!- Karla
This year I have two favourites in the author category. I want to give both authors a shout-out because their books have brought me much joy and laughter in the last year. When I read my first Sawyer Bennett book, Friction, I was blown away by her witty writing. I had a perpetual grin on my face and was completely immersed in the story. I went on a bit of a binge reading all of her published books one after the other and have been a huge fan ever since. I love this author for her funny dialogues and her fantastic male POVs. Reading one of her books is always a pleasure.
I discovered Mariana Zapata when she released Under Locke in 2014 and have been a dedicated fan ever since. As soon as she releases a new book, I will buy it immediately and do nothing but read and I usually only do that for J.R. Ward:) Her books have that special something that makes reading so wonderful – they take you on a journey and you can be sure it’s going to be hilarious. Mariana Zapata has a great sense of humor and her writing resonates with me like only a few other authors do. I whole-heartedly recommend every one of her books. You won’t be disappointed! – Steffi

I'm thrilled you enjoyed HIS ROAD HOME and included it on your best-of list! And thanks to Karla for linking it to my facebook page. It's really nice, when trudging through the reality of being a writer and mom, to be reminded that real people are finding my characters and loving them too.

There are some fabulous books there, but you hit my favourite right off with D.B. Reynolds. Her Vampires in America are a MUST read for anyone who loves that genre!! Seriously, Ms Reynolds can't write them fast enough for this Vamp addict!

Authors that seem to get it right every time for me are Ilona Andrews, Grace Draven, Michelle Diener , Lilith Saintcrow, Michelle Sagara, Anne Bishop, Faith Hunter and Ann Aguirre. The newest author and book that has surprised me was Ellie Marney and her Every series.I'm not the biggest fan of Young Adult but this series had me hooked.

Another couple of my favourites that I didn't see on your list but highly recommend are:
-The Lightning-Struck Heart by TJ Klune (m/m fantasy and brilliantly funny)
-Carry The Ocean by Heidi Cullinan (YA m/m – one main character is autistic and the other has anxiety and depression but it is an amazing, beautiful and, at times, rather funny romance – I absolutely LOVED it)
Hope if anyone checks them out you love them as much as I did! 😀
