What it’s about
When her sister Lila and
brother-in-law Gray are killed in a tragic accident, Bella is named as guardian
to her two young nephews. Then she discovers that she’s expected to co-parent
with Gray’s best friend, and grief turns to shock. Noah has always driven her
crazy, and Bella’s sure the arrogant, handsome Navy SEAL is the last person she
wants to share a life with.
Just as it seems they’ll never
see eye to eye, letters from Lila start to arrive—letters she wrote in case
they ever ended up in this situation. And so the reluctant couple follows her
instructions, spending ever more time together as part of their unexpected,
unconventional family.
Forced into an impossible
situation, will these letters from the past bring them together? Life as We
Know It
meets P.S. I Love You in this heartwarming story of loss,
grief, family and love.

Steffi’s Review
5 stars!
Letters To Love is in a category
all of its own, a gem of a book that I will always treasure. It brought up so
many emotions and gave me so much more than I bargained for. Expecting a
mellow, sweet military romance, I got an intense, joyful, heart-warming, entertaining
and incredibly touching story that I urge everyone to read!
When Bella’s sister and
brother-in-law Gray die in a tragic car accident, Bella and Noah, Gray’s best
friend, get custody of their two little boys. In a time of immense grief and
loss, Bella has the additional burden of trying to co-parent with Noah, a man
she’s always despised for his womanizing ways. To get through this hardship,
Bella and Noah have to put everything aside and work as a team to create a safe
and loving environment for two adorable little boys. Slowly but surely, they
become closer, but when Lila’s letters arrive every week, letters she wrote
just for this situation, their romance turns from friendship to love.
Letters To Love is a story that
deeply touched my heart. Bella’s relationship with her sister, Lila, reminded
me strongly of my sister and I grieved with Bella every step of the way. I
connected with her instantly and it made me feel even more involved with all
the characters. In this book, Soraya Lane shows us many facets of love and
relationships, the love of a mother for her children, between friends and
sisters and between a strong woman and a man who seems tough but craves the
love he is so afraid to give into. Bella and Noah develop a strong friendship
before anything else and their relationship develops at a believable rate.
These characters are so real; getting to know them, their pasts, fears, dreams
and hopes was a pleasure. Letters To Love made me cry, especially at the end,
laugh and sigh with happiness. I am so glad I picked up this book – it was an
experience and I highly recommend it. Soraya Lane’s writing shines in this
beautiful story about love, family, self-discovery and finding your other half.

I really am intrigued by the theme of this story. I can't imagine the foresight to write letters and prepare for the worse. I'm definitely going to check this one out Thanks for the review and bringing this to my attention.

Hi Eileen,
Lia and her husband are both in the military, so she prepared these letters in the unlikely case that something should happen to both of them. Well, they pass away in a car accident not on deployment, but the letters were made for a situation like this. I love this book so mjuch because while it is heartbreaking and made me cry, it is also a hopeful and joyful novel. If you read it, please let me know what you think here or on twitter.
