What it’s about
A Texas Ranger must protect the daughter of a serial killer from becoming his next victim…
Breaking into the home of the woman who shared his bed three months ago isn’t Weston Cade’s usual MO. But the Texas Ranger is on a personal vendetta to catch a killer, and Addie Crockett is the man’s biological daughter. The beautiful rancher also happens to be carrying Wes’s child…
Addie can’t remember her birth father, but she’ll never forget the lover who took her to bed — and then disappeared. Now she has to trust Wes with her life. And the life of their unborn baby. As desire reignites, Addie quickly discovers that with this lawman by her side, she just might escape the target on her back.

Dorsey’s Review
3.5 Stars!!
Lone Wolf Lawman is the first book in the new Appaloosa Pass Ranch series. The series is off to a great start, the characters are interesting and there’s a great plot full of twists, turns, danger, and romance.
The story focuses around Addie, who has only recently discovered that she is pregnant by the man who seduced her and then disappeared. Later she learns she doesn’t even know his real name, and then she is told her biological father is psychotic serial killer from the man who seduced her. With the help of her supportive adoptive family, she is making the best of it until Wes, her former lover, shows up out of the blue with the news that her biological father wants her dead.
He then reveals to Addie his real name and confesses that he’s a Texas Ranger. He then informs her of his plan to capture her biological father….using her as bait. The only problem is that he has no idea she’s pregnant with his child. When Addie’s overprotective law enforcement brothers get involved, things get pretty interesting.
Addie and Wes get there HEA, but there are a few loose ends left dangling to continue the series. I really enjoyed Addie’s brothers and look forward to their stories.
