When Beauty Wants A Baby
Championship bull breeder and former Texas beauty queen Delaney McCall was having a heck of a time finding a daddy for the baby she craved. A failed marriage left her with no desire for another husband, but finding the right stud to satisfy her needs presents a bigger problem that she could have imagined.
And The Bullrider Wants Beauty
After hanging up his spurs, bull rider Zac McDaniel wants nothing more than to fulfill Delaney's dream of having a family. After all, his best friend's ex has been his fantasy for years. Zac, however, has no desire to be seen as just a means to an end. And when Zac insists on doing things the "old fashioned" way, their passion explodes like a bull out of the chute…
Some Bucking Is Bound To Happen
While insisting it's all just a passing fancy, the more Delaney sees the softer side of the rough and tumble cowboy, the harder it is to keep her emotions corraled. Zac, meanwhile, is more determined than ever to prove he's what she really needs, and will do whatever it takes to tear down the mile high fence around her heart…
4.5 Stars! A great addition to the Hotel Rodeo series!
Zac and Delaney proved to be match made in baby makin’ heaven, but they also had wonderful chemistry and you could feel how much they cared for each other. These two started out with a deal, but when all was said and done, they were in it for love.
I wasn’t sure how Delaney would fit into this series being she’s Ty’s ex, and whether or not if I would like her. Delaney grew on me and turned out to be such a likable character, someone who was misjudged and proved herself to be very capable and smart. She’s hell bent on being a successful bull breeder and also wants a baby but not another marriage.
Zac wants to swoop in and help Delaney, with the bull and baby breeding! He always had a thing for her, and as he really gets to know her he realizes that she’s more than a pretty face and knows the business of raising bulls, but isn’t convinced of her ideas on how to make a baby. He didn’t try to smother her with his he-manish ways, listened to and respected her opinions, didn’t brush off her ideas as nonsense where the bulls were concerned, not so much on how to go about conceiving a child. Zac treated Delaney as an equal, they complimented each other nicely, in business and in the bedroom, where Zac finally convinces Delaney babies were meant to be made…the old fashioned way. Now I want to know if there’s a little buckaroo in Zac and Delaney’s future!
The ending, which included Ty and Monica, didn’t feel rushed it felt right, like it was years in the making, Zac and Delaney’s true destiny. I loved that all of them were able to put their issues behind them and form great friendships. It shows why this series has such promise, all these characters meld so well together and each book is not just about two individuals but a collective group of enjoyable characters whose lives are connected and continue to cross paths.
A quick read packed with lots of story! I had a big ‘ole grin on my face when I finished and am seriously anxious for another book in the Hotel Rodeo series!
