Love—on the rocks....
The last thing Vaughan Hewson expects to find when he returns to his childhood home is a broken hearted bride in his shower, let alone the drama and chaos that come with her.

Lydia Green doesn't know whether to scream or cry in a corner. Discovering the love of your life is having an affair on your wedding day is bad enough. Finding out it's with his best man is another thing all together.

Just when this runaway bride has nowhere left to turn, a handsome stranger offers her a broad, muscular shoulder to cry on. Vaughan is the exact opposite of the picture perfect, respected businessmen she's normally drawn to. This former musician-turned-bartender is rough around the edges and is facing his own crossroads. But Lydia's already tried Mr. Right and discovered he's all wrong--maybe it's time to give Mr. Right Now a chance.

After all, what's wrong with getting dirty?

Dirty is the first book in the Dive Bar series from bestselling author Kylie Scott.

Crista’s Review

4 Stars!

After writing my favorite rock band romance series, The Stage Dive series, I was ecstatic that Kylie Scott had ventured into a spinoff series that involves Vaughn, a secondary character from the Stage Dive series. This series will focus its attention on a community of characters that own and/or work at the Dive Bar, an amazing bar that features live entertainment, tasty food, and incredibly attractive bartenders!

Vaughn has come home to sell his deceased parents home. He is weary from all the touring he’s done with Stage Dive and is somewhat rocked after the break-up of his band. He comes home to find a woman in a wedding dress having an emotional breakdown in his shower.

Lydia was all set to marry her fiancée when she receives evidence of his infidelity. She is not a weak character and takes the opportunity to “run away” from the life that she thought she wanted.

Reading this book is just pure entertainment!! From the beginning chapter to Lydia and Vaughn’s unconventional first meeting to the sweet development of a true friendship and ultimately romantic love, this book doesn’t miss a beat.

Kylie Scott has a very keen sense of humor, and it shows in her writing. There are MANY laugh-out-loud moments and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment reading this book.

Even though the relationship between Vaughn and Lydia develops over just a few days, I bought into it 100 percent. There was an understanding and respect for one another that was always present. It was quite honestly refreshing.

If you are looking for a book with high angst, this is not really the book for you. If you are tired of all the drama and serious nature of so many books of late, then this book is the ideal choice. It’s fun, sexy, hilarious, and perfectly sets up a host of secondary characters that I am hoping get their own books.

I am definitely on board with the Dive Bar series!
