A scarred fighter.
A girl with rules.
One night of unbridled passion.
There are three things you need to know about Elizabeth Bennett: she’s smart as a whip, always in control, and lives by a set of carefully crafted rules. She’s learned the hard way that people you love the most always hurt you in the end.
But then she meets Declan Blay, the new neighbor at her apartment complex.
A tattooed British street fighter, he’s the campus bad boy she’s supposed to avoid, but when he saves her from a frat party gone bad, all her rules about sex and love fly out the window.
She gives him one night of unbridled passion, but he longs for more.
With only a cardboard-thin wall separating their bedrooms, he dreams of possessing the vulnerable girl next door forever.
One night. Two damaged hearts. The passion of a lifetime.
*A modern love story inspired by Pride and Prejudice*
4 Fighting for Love Stars!!
WOW!! I really didn’t expect to enjoy this book as much as I did! The book starts out with heartbreaking prologue, and my heart broke for the heroine Elizabeth.
Two years later she has picked up the pieces, at least in appearance, and she’s a college student where she meets the gorgeous Brit, Declan. Declan is a tattooed underground MMA fighter who happens to have just moved into the student housing right next door to Elizabeth along with his funny, charming, loosely straight-laced twin, Dax. (perhaps he’ll get his own book….fingers crossed!)
Declan was just perfect, almost too good to be true, he loves reading classic novels, Pride and Prejudice is his favorite novel, and he’s sweet, loyal, fiercely protective…ALL alpha. It’s such a contrast to his appearance and that makes him even sexier!! His connection with Elizabeth was special from the moment they met at a frat party and I love how they both understood each other. Their chemistry was off the charts, they had such an emotional bond it took my breath away at times.
Elizabeth has serious trust issues and it’s not easy for her to let go of her emotions. Declan and Elizabeth’s road to a happily-ever-after was bumpy and at times frustrating, but in the long run love prevailed, and readers are treated to a satisfying epilogue.
