The final book in USA Today bestselling author Kristen Callihan's critically acclaimed Darkest London series!

Miss Layla Starling, the young, beautiful, and extremely wealthy heiress, is the talk of London. Until now, she's managed to evade the marriage noose. Despite the fact that she is unfortunately American, she's received a staggering number of offers. And turned down every one.

But he can not offer her happiness. He will never be normal, never be anything but a freak in her world. So St. John resolves to keep his distance, until he is recruited by the Society for the Suppression of Supernaturals to guard Layla. For she is in grave danger, and he is about to learn the full extent of his powers.

Crista’s Review

5 stars! Oh my, I am in love with this series!

I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of this book and I am so thankful that I did.  Waiting for these books is torture and yet each book is so well worth the wait!  Unfortunately, this book is the grand finale and supposedly the last book in the Darkest London series.  With Forevermore, this author saves the very best for last!

Forevermore tells the long awaited story of Sin.  I have been a fan of Sin since the start of this series and have watched this tormented soul struggle after making a bad decision that alters the course of his entire life.

Layla and Sin were childhood friends who were separated by decisions that were not their own.  This started Sin’s fall from grace and he becomes the anti-hero instead of the hero.  Lucky for Sin, I am a reader that LOVES the anti-hero and will always find myself rooting for the misunderstood and corrupted hero.

In this book, Sin and Layla are reunited when Layla’s safety is put in jeopardy.  Sin is tasked to protect Layla and to make sure that she is safe.  He has always cared for Layla, his childhood crush, but now Sin’s feelings are anything but platonic.

I can’t stand romances that focus on insta-love.  Forevermore is the perfect slow simmering romance that sensually builds and builds until it reaches a crescendo where the steam almost leaps off the pages!  The first kiss that Sin and Layla share is almost worth the read to just experience that!

This was a fabulous book and almost the perfect ending to this incredible series.  We are given the treat of a secondary romance in this book that is just as incredible as Sin and Layla’s romance, and I can honestly say that there were no stones left unturned after completing this book.

Callihan also brings back characters from the previous novels so that we can catch up and see how they are all doing. This in no way took away from the brilliance of the main couple and I felt that Sin and Layla were given appropriate attention.

I am sad to say goodbye to these characters.  I have to admit that I am crossing my fingers that this author continues to write paranormal books. She has such a talent for it, and I’d love to see her write a spin-off series!

Highly Recommended!
