In the Virginia countryside outside of Washington, DC, Addy Wentworth was on a mission to make a new life for herself. When the opportunity arose, she settled in horse and wine country. Experiencing more than her fair share of tragedy and loss, she had plans for her future, one where failure wasn’t an option. And not just because people and cows were counting on her. She’d poured everything she had into her struggling vineyard, because once she’s in, she’s all in.

After giving himself wholly to the job for ten years, Crew Vega was done. He’d fulfilled his commitment, done his duty, gone above and beyond to settle the score. And the score was high. All he had to do was train his replacements and he’d be out for good.

He had a plan, one that didn’t include getting involved with his new neighbor, a woman who not only kept cows for pets, but treasured her employees as family, and understood him better than anyone ever had before. But when he learned a high level CIA target being investigated for treason was keeping tabs on her?

No, he never planned on that. And like everything Crew Vega did in life, when he goes in, he’s all in.

Dorsey’s Review

4 Alpha Loving Stars!!

Addy is the owner of a small Virginia winery. She has a few employees she considers family since she has no family of her own. Her father was killed when she was a child and she recently lost her mother to cancer. While on a trip Addy comes across a small vineyard for sale, it was fate and an opportunity that Addy just couldn’t pass up.

“Certain moments in life become etched in your soul. For me, I have merely a handful. Buried deep, they’re entwined, tangled, and even disheveled. Living together forever, they create who we are and how we see the world. More so, how we react to it, even live within it. Much like the vines that create my wine, it’s hard to see where one ends and the other begins.”

Crew Vega is her new neighbor who recently moved onto the adjoining property. While out looking for her “pet” cow Addy meets her new handsome, intense, and bossy neighbor when Harry the cow wanders onto his property. Crew is an ex-secret agent who bought the property to train and recruit men for the secret agency he recently retired from. The minute he meets his quirky beautiful new neighbor he decides she’ll be his.

Addy is definitely attracted to Crew, still, she attempts to keep her distance. Crew just steamrolled all her attempts….which is a good thing since someone is out to destroy Addy and it will take all Crew’s formidable skills to keep her out of harm’s way!

Final Thoughts: All-in-all a fantastic read with a yummy alpha male.  Brynne Asher is a new to me author and I’m looking forward to reading more of her books and definitely more books in this series.
