“Read Claudia Connor for a consistently raw and emotional love story,” recommends Carly Phillips. Now the swoon-worthy McKinney Brothers series from this bestselling author continues as JT, the youngest of the trio, discovers that only love can make him whole.

She’s fighting for control. . . .

Paige Roberts learned to fend for herself growing up. Now she’s doing everything possible to give her daughter, Casey, the stability she never had. He’s struggling to connect. . . .

His business is developing cutting-edge prosthetics and he’s more than happy to turn his attention to machines instead of people. Still, he can’t shake the feeling that something’s missing.   Will they take a chance on love? . . .

When JT gets the chance to help Paige’s daughter, he takes it. He never planned on the two of them tearing down his walls or teaching him to believe in himself again. Paige might not believe in happily ever afters, but JT wants more than anything to be her prince. They’ll both have to let go of the past if they want a future.

Karla’s Review

5 Stars!! My goodness did I enjoy this book!

This inspiring story delivers a heartfelt message about overcoming adversity and forgiveness. It also depicts the resilience of children and how they view the world and triumph over life’s challenges in a most simplistic manner.

Claudia Connor takes chances with her storylines and it’s what draws me to The McKinney Brothers series again and again. While I had an issue with one of her characters in the first book, Worth the Fall, the couple pairing and family dynamic was unique and for the most part I enjoyed the read. Her debut book impressed me enough that I couldn’t wait for the next installment, Worth The Risk. Again an interesting plot and setting, and the two central characters played so well off of each other. They were both dealing with the past tragic events and while one has begun to move forward the other couldn’t get past the guilt. A wonderful story!

Now Worth The Fall…another winner…and in my opinion the best in the series! It’s hard to believe this is only the author’s 3rd book, over the course of the series she’s honed her storytelling skills and tells a tale like a pro! The romance portion of the plot is wonderful but it’s the element of overcoming the odds from a child and adult’s perspective, both who have a similar physical handicap, that makes this read shine!

JT has been a little bit of a mystery and in Worth The Fall all is revealed. We finally understand the circumstances behind his elusive nature and what drives him. His attraction to Paige was lovely but it was his connection with her daughter, Casey, that made me fall hard for him.

Paige’s tenacity and love for Casey made her my kind of heroine, she’s not one to feel sorry for herself, she pushes forward and perseveres. JT coming into her life didn’t change her resolve, she doesn’t want charity or pity, but when it comes to her daughter she wants the best that life can offer and JT can give Casey what she needs, not only for her disability but on an emotional level too.

What a little spitfire, Casey was adorable and her thoughts and statements on missing a portion of her leg were profound. The instant connection she makes with JT was heart melting. Meeting her was the beginning of his healing and the boost she needed to conquer some of her fears.

The three of them were meant to be and their journey to a happily ever after was incredibly sweet and inspiring. I had a hard time putting this book down, once I started I couldn’t stop and when it ended I couldn’t wipe the grin off my face! There is also a secondary romance that was a sweet wonderful bonus!

I’m not sure if this series is going to continue but I’m looking forward to whatever Claudia Connor offers up next! She’s got a fan in this reader. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that she takes on the Walker brothers, Hannah’s siblings who were introduced in Worth The Risk, the testosterone brothers would make for some interesting reading *swoon*!
