Review: Saddle Up (Hot Cowboy Nights #4) by Victoria Vane

Review: Saddle Up (Hot Cowboy Nights #4) by Victoria Vane

Karla’s Review 3.5 Stars! While I loved the detail about the plight of the  mustangs I felt that it might have overshadowed the romance element in the story. For that reason, I had a hard time feeling the chemistry between the 2 main protagonists, Keith and Miranda. I loved them well enough as individuals but I didn’t get that all-consuming feeling that they belonged together, something I look for in my romance reads. I also would have liked more information as to why Keith had the falling out with his tribe due to the documentary that was filmed about him. There were bits and pieces but nothing concrete that would help […]

Flashback Friday Favorite: A Breach of Promise (The Rules of Engagement #1) by Victoria Vane

Flashback Friday Favorite: A Breach of Promise (The Rules of Engagement #1) by Victoria Vane

Reviews Kristen says: 4.5 Stars! WOW! What an unexpected surprise A Breach of Promise turned out to be! I was captivated, riveted, and charmed by this superbly written short story. I’m in awe of Ms. Vane’s ability to write a novella that is not only historically detailed, engaging, and cleverly contrived, but simultaneously sweeps the reader into a world full of richly developed characters, and terrific, witty dialogue. The cast of characters in this short story were simply amazing for a novella. I can honestly say, I don’t think I’ve read a more charming, delightful, and so full of himself hero! Marcus was such a weasel. I couldn’t help but love the conceited rake. I absolutely […]

Review: The Redemption of Julian Price by Victoria Vane

Review: The Redemption of Julian Price by Victoria Vane

Karla’s Review 4 Stars!  A wonderfully layered, entertaining story! Chalk up another winner for Victoria Vane in the historical romance genre! When this author puts her on her historical hat there is a very comfortable easy feel to her writing, it’s like coming home. Henrietta was a great character; bold, witty, and her curiosity about sexual intimacy between a man and woman was fun to read about. She was the one who was the pursuer in this relationship and came up with the arrangement that would satisfy both Julian’s and her circumstances. That’s not to say Julian wasn’t attracted to her too, he was, but his guilt over the loss of Thomas, […]

Review: Beauty and the Bull Rider (Hotel Rodeo)

Review: Beauty and the Bull Rider (Hotel Rodeo)

Karla’s Review  4.5 Stars! A great addition to the Hotel Rodeo series! Zac and Delaney proved to be match made in baby makin’ heaven, but they also had wonderful chemistry and you could feel how much they cared for each other. These two started out with a deal, but when all was said and done, they were in it for love. I wasn’t sure how Delaney would fit into this series being she’s Ty’s ex, and whether or not if I would like her. Delaney grew on me and turned out to be such a likable character, someone who was misjudged and proved herself to be very capable and smart. […]
