REVIEW: Accidental Sire (Half-Moon Hollow #6) by Molly Harper

REVIEW: Accidental Sire (Half-Moon Hollow #6) by Molly Harper

Dorsey’s Review   4.5 Fang-tastic New Vampire Stars!! Following a freak accident college student (Vampire Ultimate Frisbee Game), Meagan is on the verge of death with the only possibility of survival being a vampire turning, which she agrees to. Within twenty-four hours Meagan wakes up a bit different than our “normal” beloved Half-Moon Hallow vampires. What ensues is the accidental turning of Ben Overby by Meagan, and the search for the person or persons responsible for a new breed of vampire with slightly different abilities and features. “I will do my best not to get abducted by a mad scientist a third time.” As new vampires, Ben and Meagan find themselves […]

REVIEW: LETHAL LIES by Rebecca Zanetti (Blood Brothers, #2)

REVIEW: LETHAL LIES by Rebecca Zanetti (Blood Brothers, #2)

Dorsey’s Review 3.75 Lethal Stars! Rebecca Zanetti’s Blood Brothers series continues with Heath’s story. Blood Brothers is a spinoff series of her Sin Brothers series (a favorite of mine!). You really don’t have to read the Sin Brothers series to enjoy this series, but, I highly recommend reading Deadly Silence, book one in this series before reading Lethal Lies. The brothers are private investigators and possess enhanced skills that give them the upper hand when needed. I completely love the camaraderie between Heath, Ryker, and Denver along with the Gray Brothers (Sin Brothers series) who all have cameos in this series. “Ryker reached into the cooler and withdrew three beer bottles. […]

REVIEW: The Time in Between by Kristen Ashley (Magdalene, #3)

REVIEW: The Time in Between by Kristen Ashley (Magdalene, #3)

Dorsey’s Review   3 Second Chance Stars!!! Cady and Coert’s story begins in Denver eighteen years earlier. Their attraction was instant, mutual, and it didn’t take long before they were in love. Cady’s home life was a sad lonely existence; she’s unappreciated and generally ignored unless it’s to tell her what a failure she is, mainly by her cold unfeeling mother and brother…her father just kinda tows the line. Problem is Cady doesn’t want the life her parents expect out of her, she’s content working at a convenience store, while striving to make her dreams of becoming a clothing buyer come true. Cady is a loyal to her childhood friend and […]

REVIEW: PATHS by Brynne Asher (The Killers #2)

REVIEW: PATHS by Brynne Asher (The Killers #2)

Dorsey’s Review   4 Alpha Protective Stars!! Paths, book 2 in The Killers series, picks up where Vines, book 1, ended and we were introduced Grady Cain, and briefly to Maya Augustine. Grady and Maya totally captured my heart, especially Grady!! Maya and Grady meet at the vineyard where she works at Grady and Maya totally captured my heart, especially Grady!! Maya and Grady meet at the vineyard where she works part-time for Addy, from Vines. We know right away Maya is running from something, she’s hiding from her past, and the very real threats she faces if found. Maya is also an activity director at a retirement home, she loves her […]

REVIEW: VINES by Brynne Asher (The Killers, #1)

REVIEW: VINES by Brynne Asher (The Killers, #1)

Dorsey’s Review 4 Alpha Loving Stars!! Addy is the owner of a small Virginia winery. She has a few employees she considers family since she has no family of her own. Her father was killed when she was a child and she recently lost her mother to cancer. While on a trip Addy comes across a small vineyard for sale, it was fate and an opportunity that Addy just couldn’t pass up. “Certain moments in life become etched in your soul. For me, I have merely a handful. Buried deep, they’re entwined, tangled, and even disheveled. Living together forever, they create who we are and how we see the world. More so, how we react to […]

REVIEW: THE CHOSEN by J.R. Ward (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #15)

REVIEW: THE CHOSEN by J.R. Ward (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #15)

Dorsey’s Review *** WARNING: THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS!!*** 3.5 Deceitful Chosen Stars!! Sooooo…..I’m going to break this down by storylines (and there are many) as I did with the last couple of books. Layla and Xcor I was waiting what seems like forever for their story, whether you like them or not, or you just wanted to be done with them, we waited a loooooong time!! Xcor, admittedly was not good guy, we find out that he suffered as a young boy, teen, and young adult and then throw in the Blood Letter finding and claiming him as his son, those experiences hardened him, and I have to say as much […]

REVIEW: Double Trouble (Wallflowers Series #2) by C.P. Smith

REVIEW: Double Trouble (Wallflowers Series #2) by C.P. Smith

Dorsey’s Review 4.5 Fun & Sexy Stars!! This is the second book in C.P. Smith Wallflowers series and if you (like myself) LOVE alpha’s, this is a must read author!! I absolutely love and adore every single character in this series (along with all her other books/series). The Wallflowers are fantastically loyal friends and make you wish you were part of their little trio. This story is so much than a love story, it’s a story of love, friendship, family, and camaraderie. I must say I absolutely love and adore (Calla’s) Aunties, I’m so glad they were included in this book. This is Bo and Sienna’s book, who both have heartbreaking backgrounds […]

REVIEW: COME SUNDOWN by Nora Roberts

REVIEW: COME SUNDOWN by Nora Roberts

Dorsey’s Review 3 Stars!! The book takes place on the Bodine Dude Ranch and Resort which is a very large spread Montana and is part Dude Ranch and part Luxury Spa & Event Center. Twenty-five years prior, Alice Bodine the rebel of the family and youngest daughter ran off to Hollywood. Things didn’t go as planned for Alice in Hollywood and she decides to return home. Sadly, Alice never makes home…and what happens to her will shock readers as pieces of her story play out in the book. The resort is now run primarily by Alice’s niece, Bodine, and the ranch by Bodine’s brother Chace. Her parents, older sister Maureen, grandmother, great-grandmother, […]

Review: The Coppersmith Farmhouse (Jamison Valley #1) by Devney Perry

Review: The Coppersmith Farmhouse (Jamison Valley #1) by Devney Perry

Dorsey’s Review 4.5 Alpha Loving Stars!! I was blown away by this new authors debut book!! It had everything I love to read about, it’s reminiscent of a Kristen Ashley or a C.P. Smith book, but, Devney Perry definitely has her own style and voice which was fabulous. I’m so excited to have another author to follow and look forward to!! Georgia “Gigi” is a nurse and single mother to adorable four year Rowen “Roe”, who inherits a farmhouse in Montana from Ben, a former patient and pseudo grandparent to Roe. After losing her mother and then Ben, she decides to start over and moves from Seattle to the farmhouse for a […]

REVIEW: Spellbinder (Moonshadow #2) by Thea Harrison

REVIEW: Spellbinder (Moonshadow #2) by Thea Harrison

Dorsey’s Review   4.5 Spellbinding Stars!!! I was completely spellbound by Morgan’s story! Although Morgan was a villain in previous books we soon learn appearances can be deceiving and all is not as it seems. Morgan is bound by a spell linking him to the evil Light Fae Queen Isabeau, so that he must obey any and all direct orders she gives him. For hundreds of years he has lived without freedom. With only his hate and desire for revenge keeping him strong and sane. When we first see Morgan in this book he is a very stoic and no longer holds much hope and certainly no happiness, but when an […]
