What it’s about
Every story has two sides, and in this new book, the epic love story between Kiera and Kellan is shown through his eyes.

All
Kellan Kyle needs is his guitar, and some clean sheets of paper.
Growing up in a house that was far from a home, he learned a hard
lesson: You’re worthless. Now his life is comfortably filled with passionate music, loyal band mates, and fast women…until he meets her.

Kiera makes him ache for more. Makes him feel for the first time that he’s worth more. But there’s one problem – she’s his best friend’s girl.

Just
when Kellan thought his emotional defenses were rock solid, Kiera’s
indecisive heart wreaks havoc on his soul, changing him forever. Losing
Kiera is not an option.

Crista’s Review
3.5 Stars!
Thoughtful may be my most anticipated book of
2015. I’ve never made a secret about the
fact that Kellan Kyle is one of my favorite fictional men. I fell for him hard the first time he burst
onto the pages of Thoughtless.  He was larger than life, tormented, and ultra
sexy.  Although I really struggled with
Kiera’s character and the cheating elements that Thoughtless contains, my love for all things “Kellan Kyle” allowed me
to overlook many things that are normally “deal breakers” for me. After I
learned that Kellan Kyle would get a chance to tell HIS side of the story, I
have been counting the days until I could read Thoughtful.
In MOST
ways, it was worth the wait!!
Kellan
Kyle’s viewpoint is priceless.  All the
gaps and lapses of time where we weren’t sure where Kellan was or what he was
up to are filled in.  His motivation is
explored, and I leave this book with mixed feelings.  I am happy that I feel as if I have the “full
story”, and I am sad that, unfortunately, I leave this book with a greater
dislike for several of the characters.
I thought
it would be impossible to dislike Kiera anymore, but after reading Thoughtless, I can honestly say that
dislike her even more than before.  She
is truly thoughtless.  This book made me
feel emotions in such a powerful way, that even though they were negative
emotions, they were REAL emotions.  Her
selfishness and disregard for the feelings of others is truly legendary.  I also really came to dislike Denny.  He also came across as completely
self-absorbed and selfish, which strangely made he and Kiera perfect for one
another.
Kellan Kyle
saved this series, and more specifically Thoughtful, from my “did not finish” pile.
I loved his character in this book.
He was still amazingly sweet, sexy, and lived up to all the hype that
surrounds his character.  However, I also
came to see him as a very damaged and vulnerable person.  The emotional neglect that Kellan suffered at
the hands of his parents impacted him in such profound ways.  He felt unlovable
and unworthy, and because of
that, he allowed Kiera to treat him very poorly.  It was painful to see, and unfortunately it
made me lose some of the lovin’
feeling I have for his character.  I like
my heroes strong, and unfortunately, this book made Kellan seem more weak and
damaged than anything else.
If I had it
to do over again, I would STILL read this book.
It gave this story a completeness that I found necessary.  Now that I have read this book, I feel like I
can put this series to rest.  It is
filled with truly messed up people making messed up decisions, but the
“humanness” of this series is undeniable and addictive.
